We ain't in the Congo, but...

We tear back the paneling and what do we see? Black mold growing and it is happy!

So we pull back the carpet to find some more, but we have no picture of the mushrooms on the door!

There's water on the ground and there's water in the wall! There's water on our feet if they there happened to fall! (with the edge of our bed being to the edge of the water, we had to jump over it to get to the bathroom every time...not to mention the terrible smell).

So we caulked up the bathroom and tore back the carpet; we finally showered this morning after four days without it. (you are gonna have to force that one if you want it to rhyme).
But on the Bright side of things!

We had ice cream and apple crisp! Aubrey has been making some wonderful dishes lately since her schedule this week was a little relaxing! We even had french toast and eggs for breakfast! usually we have oatmeal, which we love and is cheap but it is good to have some variety.

Well, we had to move our bedroom to our living room, which if you have seen our house is not that easy of a thing to do because of its small size. so we ended up with the ottoman upright in the corner and our favorite chair in the kitchen. We have to move it forward to cook and backward towards to wall to enter and leave the house.

The only problems left is that we have to jump over that nasty floor whenever we want to go to the bathroom or get our clothes since our closet is in there still. oh well, that's how it goes! We love the adventures that hatch out of everyday life.
